Privacy Policies & Website Practices

Go To Top Of Page

Where can I find information on this website's Privacy Policy & Terms Of Usage?

Go To Top Of Page
This website has 2 seperate policy pages:
  • Website Usage Disclaimer. This page describes our practices regarding personal information that may be collected from visitors to our website.
  • Website Terms Of Usage Agreement. This page is an agreement between APA members who wish to use the Member's Only sections of the website. It must be agreed to by the user prior to registering.

When I login it says my account has been suspended. What do I do?

Go To Top Of Page
This APA league reserves the right to suspend the website account of any member we feel violates website OR APA Pool League Policy.

This includes, but is not limited to:
  • Inappropriate posts in our forum.
  • Registering members other than yourself for the website.
  • Failure to pay dues, team fees, or other monies owed to the APA.
  • Sportsmanship problems during league play.
If you find your account is suspended please contact us to find out why.

What should I do if I lost my username and/or password?

Go To Top Of Page
Changing a lost password or retrieving your username is easy!

All pages of this site have a "Lost password/username?" Link that can be used to get you back into the site.

All that is required is your 5-digit APA player number and the email address you used to create your member account. For information on where to find you your 5-digit APA player number click here.

The website will email you your username along with a link to reset your password.

The website will ONLY send the email to the address you used when registering. If you have changed your email address since registering and failed to update your profile you will need to contact us directly to regain access to the website. PLEASE KEEP YOUR CONTACT INFORMATION UP-TO-DATE.

Because our database is encrypted we can not tell you your password!

Do I have to register to view my stats, schedules, etc?

Go To Top Of Page
Yes, registation is required to view Stats & Schedules, check playoff information, use members-only forms and access other features of this site. You are not 'Registering' as much as they are 'Activiating' your account. If you are a member of this league your information is already here waiting for you!

By requiring registration we can personalize the website for you. Rather than have you hunt through PDF documents or drill through schedules we can bring what you need to you.

We can also offer you a greater range information. To create a page to display everyone's data would be overwhelming and impossible to use. By datebase driving the site and requiring a login we improve your experience while simplfying the update process for us.

I registered but did not receive the activation email. What do I do?

Go To Top Of Page
Sometimes our confirmation/activation emails are filtered as spam. There is little we can do to prevent this.

One thing we've done is create a tool to resend the email to you.

To have the email resent you can visit this page and follow the directions.

If you use this form but still do not receive the email you can try adding info@ripoolplayers.com to your address book before submitting the form.

If all else fails please contact us from the email address you used to register and we will get you in.

When I try to register it says: "There Was A Problem With Your Details". What should I do?

Go To Top Of Page
Basically, the website is telling you that the information you submitted does not match what we have on record for you. This can be caused by an incomplete registration form, an error in the data you submitted, or missing or inaccurate data on file at the League Office.

To correct the problem:
  1. Go back to the form and recheck that the data you entered is both complete and accurate. Then resubmit the form.
  2. If the form still returns errors please write down which fields are causing the problem.
  3. Contact the League Office during regular business hours and update/verify the information in question.
  4. This will update the League Office Database but not the website. The website is updated regularly and you can ask when they will make the next feed. You must wait until the next stat feed before you can attempt to register again.

It says I'm already regsitered, but I know I did not register. What should I do?

Go To Top Of Page
If you are sure you did not fill out our registration form in the past, we need you to contact us ASAP. We will investigate the matter and find out if someone has registered your player number in order to view your stats.

Please be advised that no one is allowed to register for you....even with permission. A registered account has access to a member's personal information including street address, telephone numbers, date of birth, etc. Do not have someone register for you under any circumstances. This includes your team captains and teammates. Members found registering other members may be subject to account suspension.

Where do I find my 5-digit APA Player Number?

Go To Top Of Page

Your APA Player number can be found in any one of three places:

  • The first is on your weekly team scoresheet. It is the 5 digit number to the left of your name.
  • The second is on the Divisional Roster Sheet found in you weekly team envelope. Locate your team on the sheet, then find your name. Your player number is the 5 digit number to the left of your name.
  • The final place to find it is on your APA Membership Card. This card will contain an 8-digit number (not 5-digits). The first 3 numbers indicate the APA league you play for and should be 011. These numbers are not entered. You enter the 5-digit number after those first 3. Example: If your APA membership card shows player number 01100001. Do not enter 011. Enter 00001.
  • You must enter leading zeros. The number must be 5 digits

If you are using your APA Membership Card to register and are experiencing problems click here for a picture of the card, and what to enter.

When I agree to the Website Policy the page just refreshes. What's wrong?

Go To Top Of Page
There is a known issue with Snitz Forums and Norton's Internet Security. This problem only affects the registration process.

To register:
  1. Disable Norton Internet Security on Your PC.
  2. Agree to the Policy (It should work now).
  3. Complete the registration process and submit the form.
  4. Re-enable Norton Internet Security.
  5. Check your email for the Activiation/Confirmation Email and follow the directions in it.
That's it....you're registered. You can now re-enable Norton. Norton Internet Security does not affect any other aspect of this website.

Creating a Hyperlink in your message

Go To Top Of Page

You can easily add a hyperlink to your forum message.

All that you need to do is type the URL (http://ripoolplayers.com/forum/)!
It will automatically be converted to a URL (http://ripoolplayers.com/forum/)! when you submit your message!
The trick here is to make sure you prefix your URL with either http://, https:// or file://

You can also add a mailto link to your message by typing in your e-mail address.

Typing This: info@ripoolplayers.com
Outputs this: info@ripoolplayers.com

Another way to add hyperlinks is to use the [url]linkto[/url] tags

Typing this: [url]http://ripoolplayers.com/forum/[/url] takes you home!
Outputs This: http://ripoolplayers.com/forum/ takes you home!

If you use this tag: [url="linkto"]description[/url] you can add a description to the link.

Typing this: Take me to [url="http://ripoolplayers.com/forum/"]The APA of Rhode Island[/url]
Outputs This: Take me to The APA of Rhode Island

Typing this: If you have a question [url="info@ripoolplayers.com"]E-Mail Me[/url]
Outputs This: If you have a question E-Mail Me

You can add clickable images by combining the [url="linkto"]description[/url] and [img]image_url[/img] tags

Typing this: [url="http://ripoolplayers.com/forum/"][img]http://ripoolplayers.com/images/knslogo.png[/img][/url]
Outputs This: K&S Logo

  • Delete: If the administrator or moderator chooses this option, the post will be deleted and an e-mail will be sent to the poster of the message, informing them that their post was not approved. The administrator/moderator will be able to give their reason for not approving the post in the e-mail.

Last Resort Help

Go To Top Of Page

I can't find what I'm looking for anywhere on this site.

Go To Top Of Page
Don't fear, we have a big site and things may not jump out at you right away. However we do try to organize things in such a way that you can find them easily.

Here are somethings you can try before contacting us:
  • We have link menus in the left column of the site and across the top of pages. Be sure to check these menus first as most information can be found directly from these locations. If you can not find the exact link in these menus, try a more general topic.
  • If, however, you still can not find your information, we have a Site Map with a comprehensive list of site links. These links are grouped into categories to make searching easier.
  • You may also search our Forum to find out if someone else has already asked your question of had the same problem.
  • Lastly, be sure to check through this FAQ. If you still can't find the answer, please contact us.
Some content of this site is reserved for members only, and you may need to be a logged in, registered member to view that information.

If you are completely stumped, feel free to email us and we will be glad to point you in the right direction.
